Shahrukh Khan ‘Happy New Year’ goes to the ‘Oscar Library’

The happiest movie of the year ‘ Happy New Year’ has now another reason to be happy after crossing 350 crore worldwide and now the movie is said to feature in the ‘Oscar Library’ as well.

According to media reports, Library of the academy of motion picture arts & sciences has officially selected the screenplay of ‘Happy New Year’ for its permanent core collection. Following this honour, the ‘Oscar Library’ will add the screenplay which is accessible to students, filmmakers, writers, actors and others from the field of cinema, for the purpose of research.

Choreographer turned director Farah Khan took Twitter to make an announcement and said, “1 more reason 2 celebrate, ‘HNY’ script goes to the ‘Oscar Library’, big kiss to my co writer’s Mayurpuri and Althea K”.

Shahrukh Khan earlier films like ‘Devdas’ and ‘Chak De India’ were also selected for ‘Oscar Library’. While ‘Happy New Year’, is his third film for this honour. ‘HNY’ stars Deepika Pudukone Abhishek Bachchan, Sonu Sood, Boman Irani and Vivaan Shah.
